Introduction: Eating disorders (DCA) are pathologies characterized by an alteration in eating habits and excessive concern for weight and body shape. These are disturbances that characterize modern society and especially those with greater economic resources. The typical behaviors of a person suffering from eating disorders are: fasting, restriction of nutrition, bulimic crises, self-induced vomiting, intense physical activity aimed at weight loss and the improper intake of laxatives and / or diuretics in order to counteract the weight gain. Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness and interventions of nurses during the therapeutic process in patients with eating disorders in order to improve the quality of life. Materials and methods: A literature review was performed by consulting the Pubmed database, using the P.I.C.O. 783 studies were found of which, following the first reading of the title and abstract and the elimination of duplicate articles, 46 were considered. After a careful reading of the Full Text, 7 were finally chosen. Results: From the literature it emerged that nurses were considered highly influential on the hospitalization experience, as they were able to create and develop a therapeutic relationship between patient, team, family and hospital-territory. In addition, it has been shown that the nurse was able to guarantee the weight gain in the patient while maintaining his own authority. From the various studies it emerged that there is a great desire on the part of the nursing staff to increase their clinical and relational training. Discussion / Conclusion: This research has allowed us to clearly identify what nursing care interventions are in the treatment of nutrition and eating disorders, however, there are still not enough studies in the scientific literature, in particular there are no real ones. tools that can measure the quality and appropriateness of nursing interventions in this area.
