L'infermiere e le cure palliative in ambito domiciliare, revisione della letteratura

Introduction: Palliative care is an approach that has as its objective the quality of life and the maintenance of the dignity of patients suffering from chronic degenerative diseases and their families even in the period of end of life. The nurse together with the team helps to meet the patient's care needs. Objective: The following review of the literature aims to investigate the presence of evidence that may guide the nurse in providing assistance in palliative care in the home setting. Materials and methods: The research was conducted by searching for keywords in the Pubmed and Cinahl databases of articles from the last 10 years, preferring literature reviews. Results: Of the articles consulted, the most relevant to the research objective were selected and relate to nursing interventions at home. Discussion: Adequate symptom management accompanied by effective communication in order to identify the individual needs of the patient are the elements that the research found to be the most important for assistance that improves the quality of life of the patient and his family. Introduzione: Le cure palliative sono un approccio che hanno come obiettivo la qualità di vita e il mantenimento della dignità dei pazienti affetti da malattie cronico degenerative e delle loro famiglie nel periodo di fine vita. L’infermiere insieme all’equipe contribuisce a soddisfare i bisogni di assistenza del paziente. Obiettivo: La seguente revisione della letteratura vuole indagare la presenza di evidenze che possano indirizzare l’infermiere nell’erogazione dell’assistenza nelle cure palliative nel setting domiciliare. Materiali e metodi: La ricerca è stata condotta attraverso la ricerca delle parole chiave nelle banche dati Pubmed e Cinahl di articoli degli ultimi 10 anni prediligendo le revisioni della letteratura. Risultati: Degli articoli consultati sono stati selezionati i più pertinenti all’obiettivo di ricerca e riguardano gli interventi infermieristici al domicilio. Discussione: Un’adeguata gestione dei sintomi accompagnata da una comunicazione efficace per poter individuare i bisogni individuali del paziente sono gli elementi che dalla ricerca sono risultati i più importanti per un’assistenza che migliori la qualità di vita del paziente e della sua famiglia.
