Prevenzione della Post Hepatectomy Liver Failure nei pazienti cirrotici sottoposti a chirurgia epatica mininvasiva per HCC: il legamento rotondo deve essere preservato?

Post-hepatectomy liver failure (PHLF) represents a major cause of morbidity and mortality after liver resection. The aim of this study is to assess whether the preservation of the round ligament (RL) may mitigate portal hypertension, thus decreasing the risk of PHLF and ascites in cirrhotic patients while undergoing minimally invasive liver surgery (MILS).

La post-hepatectomy liver failure (PHLF) rappresenta una causa maggiore di morbidità e mortalità dopo resezione epatica. Lo scopo di questo studio è di valutare se la preservazione del legamento rotondo (RL) sia in grado di mitigare l’ipertensione portale, dunque ridurre il rischio di PHLF e ascite in pazienti cirrotici sottoposti a chirurgia epatica mininvasiva (minimally invasive liver surgery, MILS).
