This thesis work aims to examine different models of voltage and current transformers, focusing on analyzing their impact on phase shifting in electrical measurements. Specifically, in power meters, they are used to measure crucial parameters such as current and voltage, enabling the calculation of active, reactive and apparent power. The accuracy of such measurements is critical for evaluating the performance of electrical devices and managing electrical networks. In the first phase of the study, measurements were conducted on two household appliances representative of different loads. After that, measurements were made on the voltmetric transformer used in the first measurement and two amperometric transformers. Measurements on the voltmeter transformer were made in a closed loop, generating a known signal and measuring the output to calculate the phase shift introduced. On the other hand, the measurements on the current transformers compared the output of the transformer used in the measurements on the appliances with that of a transformer with known phase shift, starting with the same input signal.
