Introduction: In this paper we aim to explore what is the world of health journalism, the challenges it faces in today's world are the spread of the Internet and the infodemic phenomenon, the lack of specialized figures dedicated to the science dissemination and the level of health literacy of the population, which is still mediocre and does not allow everyone equally to untangle the dense web of health-related information opening the door to the creation of inequalities. Objectives of the study: To highlight the role of the nurse in health disclosure, rewarding and recognizing the profession's own characteristics, enshrined in the professional profile and in the relevant code of ethics, such as the relational and educational, and allowing professional identity to grow in students, among colleagues or in the relationship with the public. Materials and Methods: Interviews semi-structured to privileged witnesses selected by propositional method. The interviewees were chief editors or regular writers at publications newspapers devoted solely to nursing. To draw general conclusions, a literature review was also performed using thePubMed search engine. Results: Extracted from the interviews 3 macroareas of reference: a) health education, b) professional identity, c) relational sphere. In the review, on the other hand, 8 articles were selected that dealt with the sphere of health journalism, the recurring themes were: a)health information during the COVID-19 pandemic,b) the poor health literacy of journalists who were writing about health and wellness, c) the forms of journalism that were most suitable for health outreach such as constructive journalism. Analysis and Discussion: The use disproportionate use of the Internet among the population also involves topics on the health, the challenge for science disseminators is therefore to implement a partnership between news outlets and health professionals to ensure quality information to users. The issues raised mainly concern the training of such professionals and their continued employment in the review of existing articles so as to identify fake news and teach users how to properly inform themselves on the Internet. Conclusions: The nurse in this in many ways unexplored landscape is a potential player due to the inherent capacities that affect the profession such as the relational and educational. Nursing journalism is an excellent tool to adapt the profession in the current era where specialization and education are losing more and more meaning and he can contribute, through his work as a disseminator, to improve the health literacy of the population and tell the story of the profession from the inside out by ensuring the development of the nurse's professional identity and achieve the valorization of the profession by society as well.
