The objective of this thesis is to analyze a general picture of bilateral relations between Italy and China, in particular of the export procedures of agri-food products between these two countries. The study focuses attention on export trends in the agri-food sector over the last decade and investigates how the health emergency from Covid-19 has impacted them. The analysis stems from the need to investigate the relationship of trade between our country and the Chinese one, in particular the products that the latter imports from us, highlighting the change due to the pandemic that first spread in the Asian country and then spread globally. The elaborate is structured in two parts: the first chapter deals with economic relations, commercial development and cooperation between Italy and China, analyzes the Italian food industry and the importance of Made in Italy and finally the practices of export of food and wine products. The second part, on the other hand, examines the trade exchange between the two nations, framing the sector's exports in the last period and comparing the data relating to 2019-2020 and the impact of the epidemic on them.

L’obiettivo della presente tesi di laurea è quello di analizzare un quadro generale delle relazioni bilaterali tra l’Italia e la Cina, in particolare delle procedure di esportazione dei prodotti agroalimentari tra questi due paesi. Lo studio focalizza l’attenzione sui trend delle esportazioni in campo agroalimentare nell’ultimo decennio e indaga come l’emergenza sanitaria da Covid-19 ha impattato su di esse. L’analisi nasce dalla necessità di voler indagare il rapporto di interscambio commerciale tra il nostro paese e quello cinese, in particolare i prodotti che quest’ultimo importa da noi, evidenziando il cambiamento dovuto alla pandemia diffusasi dapprima nel paese asiatico poi propagatasi a livello globale. L’elaborato è strutturato in due parti: il primo capitolo tratta i rapporti economici, lo sviluppo commerciale e la cooperazione tra l’Italia e la Cina, analizza l’industria alimentare italiana e l’importanza del Made in Italy ed infine le pratiche di esportazione dei prodotti eno-agroalimentari. La seconda parte, invece, esamina lo scambio commerciale tra le due nazioni, inquadrando le esportazioni del settore nell’ultimo periodo e confrontando i dati riguardanti il 2019-2020 e l’impatto dell’epidemia su di essi.
