"One Belt One Road", la nuova Via della Seta

The thesis is based on the study of the Chinese economy, how it will evolve in the coming years and how it will try to conquer the primacy of world superpowers. The focus will be on the new commercial project called "One Belt One Road" (OBOR) which aims to put China in direct contact with the rest of the world in order to break down all barriers to trade resulting from infrastructure problems and economic policies aimed at penalizing trade. The positive feedback from the participating countries, including China itself, will also be highlighted. Attention will also be focused on the "BRICS" group, the union of the new world powers that aspire to control of the global economy. Basing on today’s needs we cannot neglect environmental sustainability, so we will try to understand if China is becoming an economic giant respecting the rules that protect the planet and we will also look at how and whether OBOR will contribute to the contamination of the globe. The goal is to understand whether this revolutionary project undertaken by the Chinese government will be positive or not for the fate of the world, both economically and environmentally.

La tesi si basa sullo studio dell’economia cinese, come questa evolverà nei prossimi anni e come cercherà di conquistare il primato delle superpotenze mondiali. Ci si soffermerà particolarmente sul nuovo progetto commerciale denominato “One Belt One Road” (OBOR), che ha come scopo quello di mettere in contatto diretto la Cina con il resto del mondo per poter abbattere tutte le barriere ai commerci derivanti da problemi infrastrutturali e politiche economiche volte alla penalizzazione degli scambi. Verranno evidenziati anche i riscontri positivi che registreranno i paesi aderenti al progetto, compresa la Cina stessa. Verrà anche posta l’attenzione sul gruppo “BRICS”, l’unione delle nuove potenze mondiali che ambiscono al controllo dell’economia globale. Date le esigenze odierne non possiamo trascurare la sostenibilità ambientale, quindi cercheremo di capire se la Cina sta diventando un colosso economico rispettando le norme che tutelano il pianeta e guarderemo anche come e se la OBOR contribuirà alla contaminazione del globo. L’obiettivo è quello di capire se questo progetto rivoluzionario intrapreso dal governo cinese sarà positivo o meno per le sorti del mondo, sia sotto il punto di vista economico che sotto il punto di vista ambientale.
