"Analisi economica delle società professionistiche di calcio"

The thesis aims to illustrate the progressive corporatization of professional football teams. Chapter 1 offers an analysis of the football landscape, considering the economic, social and sporting aspects, highlighting how clubs are real businesses. The topic of financial Fair Play, introduced by UEFA, is also discussed as a useful tool for repaying the debts contracted by football clubs and inducing them to become financially self-sustaining in the long term. Chapter 2 develops the specific topic of this thesis by carrying out an analysis of the economic data of football clubs. Finally, Chapter 3 highlights the effects produced by the recent global pandemic, analyzing crisis situations and possible ways out.

La tesi ha l'obiettivo di illustrare la progressiva aziendalizzazione delle squadre di calcio professionistiche. Nel Capitolo 1 è proposta un’analisi del panorama calcistico, considerando gli aspetti economici, sociali e sportivi, mettendo in risalto come i club siano vere e proprie imprese. Viene inoltre trattato il tema del Fair Play finanziario, introdotto dalla Uefa, come strumento utile a far estinguere i debiti contratti dalle società calcistiche e ad indurle nel lungo periodo ad un auto-sostentamento finanziario. Il Capitolo 2 sviluppa la specifica tematica oggetto di questa Tesi con l'esecuzione di un’analisi sui dati economici delle società di calcio. Il Capitolo 3, infine, mette in risalto gli effetti prodotti dalla recente pandemia mondiale, analizzando le situazioni di crisi e le possibili vie d’uscita.
