In recent years, events such as earthquakes, weather-related disasters, and the rise in armed conflicts have made major emergencies increasingly frequent. This thesis aims to provide an overview of the management of such emergencies, from the initial event to the arrival at the emergency department. Through a literature review, different types of major emergencies and the rescue chain are described, highlighting the roles and structure of the command chain. The analysis extends to intermediate structures such as Advanced Medical Posts (AMPs) and field hospitals, as well as the P.E.I.M.A.F. (Intra-Hospital Emergency Management Plan), which is crucial for managing these types of emergencies within hospitals. Particular focus is given to triage, with a detailed analysis of the systems used in Italy and a comparison with those adopted globally.

Abstract
Particular focus is given to triage, with a detailed analysis of the systems used in Italy and a comparison with those adopted globally.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
