Introduction The evolution of the healthcare landscape has led to increased focus on community-based care. The number of elderly individuals who are not self-sufficient is constantly growing, and many of them receive Home Care. The Family or Community Nurse is the professional equipped with the skills to recognize and meet both healthcare and social care needs. Caregivers, just like the patients, have a comprehensive view of this ideal care and are able to share their experiences. Objectives To identify quality measures for the formulation of future indicators of family or community nursing care. Materials and Methods A qualitative study was conducted with a sample of 10 family caregivers of patients cared for by the Family or Community Nurse in the Ponterosso neighborhood of Ancona. Semi-structured interviews were conducted for data collection. Colaizzi's method was used for data analysis, with Word software employed as a tool for transcribing tables. Results The results were organized into tables divided into four columns. The most significant statements extracted from the interviews were interpreted to describe the phenomenon. Based on caregivers' satisfaction, potentially useful domains were identified for the development of quality indicators for family or community nursing care. Conclusions The study led to outcomes sensitive to family or community nursing, providing both an evaluation of the care provided and quality measures to be further explored in the future.
