Trattamento del dolore cronico

Pain is one of the five vital parameters with which the nurse is continually in contact during the performance of his professional activity. This narrative review of the literature aims to highlight the complexity of chronic pain and their limitations and problems in the evaluation and treatment of chronic pain. The search for scientific evidence took place using search engines such as PubMed and Google Scholar. Keywords: pain, chronic pain, pain rating scales, pain and biopsychosocial model, pain and depression, pain and management, pain and nurses Through the research carried out, it can be concluded that pain is subjective and complex thanks to its representation through the biopsycho-social model, but given its complexity, it is not always evaluated completely by taking into consideration only the biological factor, leaving second floor the other two spheres that make up the person, rather than putting them on the same level. It can be stated that there are different factors that lead to problems within the process of managing chronic pain which begins primarily with its definition which makes its treatment and diagnosis misleading, a factor which is then aggravated by the individuality of the professionals and the communication that is not always clear from the healthcare professional.

Il dolore è uno dei cinque parametri vitali, con cui l’infermiere si trova in continuazione a contatto durante l’esecuzione della propria attività professionale. Questa revisione narrativa della letteratura vede come obiettivo evidenziare la complessità del dolore cronico e quelli che sono i loro limiti e le problematiche nella valutazione e nel trattamento del dolore cronico. La ricerca delle evidenze scientifiche è avvenuta di motori di ricerca quali PubMed e Google Scholar. Parole chiave: dolore, dolore cronico, scale di valutazione del dolore, dolore e modello bio-psico-sociale, dolore e depressione, dolore e gestione, dolore e infermiere Attraverso le ricerche effettuate si può concludere come il dolore, sia soggettivo e complesso grazie alla sua rappresentazione mediante il modello bio-psico-sociale, ma data la sua complessità, non sempre venga valutato in maniera completa prendendo solamente in considerazione il fattore biologico lasciando in secondo piano le altre due sfere che compongono la persona, piuttosto che metterle sullo stesso piano. Si può affermare come siano diversi i fattori che portano a problematiche dentro il processo di gestione del dolore cronico che inizia in primis con la sua definizione che rende fuorviante il suo trattamento e diagnosi, fattore poi aggravato dall’individualità dei professionisti e la comunicazione non sempre chiara da parte del professionista sanitario.
