This elaborate aims to study how a company, through the implementation of strategies that integrate the environmental variable, can achieve favorable economic results. Starting with an examination of the main characteristics of Green Management and Supply Chain Management, the concept of Green Supply Chain Management is introduced. Specifically, it involves studying the strategies and criteria adopted along the supply chain according to the Green Supply Chain Management approach, with particular attention to Green Procurement. By analyzing business performance measurement tools such as KPIs and Carbon Footprint, it becomes possible to monitor corporate progress. Additionally, through the analysis of the principle European regulations, including the Supply Chain Act, and the study of the GHG Protocol, the areas of application and the main implications for companies are defined. This work concludes with an analysis of the Toyota case, a company that serves as a model of best practices for the entire sector. From the reports and guidelines published by the company, the main strategies adopted emerge, showcasing how Toyota, through rigorous standards, ensures sustainable supply chain management.
Questo elaborato si pone l'obbiettivo di studiare come un'azienda attraverso l'implementazione di strategie che integrano la variabile ambientale possa riuscire a conseguire risultati economici favorevoli. Partendo da un esame delle principali caratteristiche del Green Management e del Supply Chain Management viene introdotto il Green Supply Chain Management. Nello specifico prevede lo studio delle strategie e dei criteri adottati lungo la catena di fornitura secondo l’approccio del Green Supply Chain Management, con specifiche riguardo il Green procurement. Attraverso l’analisi degli strumenti di misurazione delle performance aziendali come i KPI e la Carbon footprint è possibile monitorare i progressi aziendali. Mediante l’analisi delle principali normative in vigore a livello europeo, di cui il Supply Chain Act e lo studio del Protocollo GHG vengono delineati gli ambiti di applicazione e le principali implicazioni per le aziende. Il lavoro si conclude con l’analisi del caso Toyota, azienda che rappresenta un esempio di buona condotta per l’intero settore. Dai rapporti e dalle linee guide redatti dall’azienda si evincono le principali strategie adottate dall’azienda, che attraverso rigorosi standard riesce a garantire una gestione sostenibile della catena di fornitura.
