The era of Industry 4.0 is causing a radical transformation in supply chain management, offering unprecedented opportunities and significant challenges. This paper explores the impact of advanced technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, blockchain, Additive Manufacturing (AM) and augmented reality, on supply chain operations. Through a detailed analysis of significant case studies, including Amazon, Walmart, Siemens and Hirschmann Automotive it is examined how these innovations have improved operational efficiency, transparency, customization and sustainability in their supply chains. The paper highlights the concrete benefits of adopting these technologies, such as increased productivity, reduced errors, and improved traceability and security. However, associated obstacles and challenges are also discussed, such as technology integration, data security, investment costs, and necessary skills training. Future supply chain prospects are promising, with an increasing focus on digitization, advanced automation and artificial intelligence. The thesis concludes that companies must take a strategic and proactive approach to capitalize on the opportunities of Industry 4.0 by investing in emerging technologies, promoting sustainability and developing the required skills. Continued research and innovation will be crucial to addressing emerging challenges and driving supply chain transformation toward a more efficient, transparent and sustainable future.

Abstract
Continued research and innovation will be crucial to addressing emerging challenges and driving supply chain transformation toward a more efficient, transparent and sustainable future.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
