This study aims to analyze landslide phenomena along the coastal zone of the Marche region by integrating geological, geomorphological, and technological expertise through the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). In particular, the research focuses on the application of the open-source software QGIS for the processing of cartographic and geospatial data, with the goal of identifying areas most susceptible to instability and assessing their lithological characteristics, associated risks, and hazards. The structure of the thesis reflects the articulation of these objectives: it begins with a theoretical and contextual overview of the geology, morphology, and climatology of the region, enriched by a state-of-the-art review of landslide movements, with particular attention to predisposing causes and effects. This is followed by a description of the materials and methods employed, the results of the geospatial analysis, a critical discussion, and finally, general conclusions. The multidisciplinary approach adopted in this study not only enhances the understanding of landslide phenomena along the Marche coastline, but also offers a replicable model for other coastal areas facing similar environmental challenges.

Abstract
The multidisciplinary approach adopted in this study not only enhances the understanding of landslide phenomena along the Marche coastline, but also offers a replicable model for other coastal areas facing similar environmental challenges.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
