This paper analyses the evolution of marketing and e-commerce during the last twenty years, highlighting how digital technologies have profoundly impacted on consumer behaviour. There is the analysis of the transition from transactional to relational marketing, then there is a discussion about the development of e-commerce, from its inception to becoming a pillar of the global economy. Through the analysis of the case of Amazon, it is illustrated how the integration of technological innovation, customer focus and relational strategies have allowed the company to establish itself as a world leader.
Il presente elaborato analizza l’evoluzione del marketing e dell’e-commerce negli ultimi venti anni, evidenziando come le tecnologie digitali abbiano impattato profondamente nei comportamenti del consumatore. Viene analizzato il passaggio dal marketing transazionale a quello relazionale, trattando poi lo sviluppo dell’e-commerce, dai suoi esordi fino a diventare un pilastro dell’economia globale. Attraverso l’analisi del caso di Amazon, viene illustrato come l’integrazione tra innovazione tecnologica, attenzione al cliente e strategie relazionali abbiano permesso all’azienda di imporsi come leader mondiale.
