Esperienze nel contesto dell’Intelligenza Artificiale: Sentiment Analysis, Riconoscimento di Immagini e Traduzione Automatica

In recent years, Artificial Intelligence has taken on an increasingly important role in many areas, thanks to its ability to learn from any type of data and operate autonomously as a result. The thesis analyses three Artificial Intelligence services offered by Amazon Web Services, namely Comprehend, Rekognition and Translate. The thesis first introduces and defines AI, then illustrates the function of Amazon Web Services, its structure and the services it offers, along with its potential. The following chapters identify the strengths and weaknesses of the three AWS services considered, assessing in which scenarios they may be less effective, based on tests carried out previously.

In questi ultimi anni l’Intelligenza Artificiale ha assunto un ruolo sempre più di rilievo in numerosi ambiti, grazie alla sua capacità di apprendere a partire da dati di qualsiasi tipo e operare autonomamente di conseguenza. La tesi analizza tre servizi di Intelligenza Artificiale offerti da Amazon Web Services, ovvero Comprehend, Rekognition e Translate. Nella tesi viene dapprima introdotta e definita l’IA, per poi essere illustrata la funzione di Amazon Web Services, la sua struttura e i servizi offerti, con annesse le sue potenzialità. Nei capitoli successivi, invece, vengono individuati i punti di forza e le criticità dei tre servizi AWS che sono stati presi in considerazione, valutando in quali scenari possano risultare meno efficaci, in base a dei test eseguiti precedentemente.
