This thesis addresses the topic of eating disorders from an educational and systemic perspective, with the aim of exploring the multifactorial complexity of these disorders and highlighting the importance of an integrated approach to patient care. After a theoretical overview of the main clinical pictures and risk factors, the work explores the role of the family as a relational system and that of the service network, highlighting the need for constant dialogue and collaboration between the various actors involved. Particular attention is paid to the contribution of the third sector, which offers educational and rehabilitative contexts capable of promoting continuity and personalisation of intervention. The internship experience at the DNA Centre in Fermo allowed us to observe the effectiveness of an integrated educational approach in the field, through participation in the Frame project, in which the final assessment showed significant improvements in self-awareness, emotional expression and relational dynamics. The concluding reflection shows that the Professional Educator, thanks to their systemic view and mediating role, is a key figure in connecting the different systems — clinical, family and social — promoting integration, continuity and meaning in the care pathway.
La presente tesi affronta il tema dei Disturbi della Nutrizione e dell’Alimentazione (DNA) in un’ottica educativa e sistemica, con l’obiettivo di esplorare la complessità multifattoriale di tali disturbi e di evidenziare l’importanza di un approccio integrato nella presa in carico della persona. Dopo una panoramica teorica sui principali quadri clinici e sui fattori di rischio, il lavoro approfondisce il ruolo della famiglia come sistema relazionale e quello della rete dei servizi, evidenziando la necessità di un dialogo costante e di una collaborazione tra i diversi attori coinvolti. Particolare attenzione è dedicata al contributo del terzo settore, che offre contesti educativi e riabilitativi capaci di promuovere la continuità e la personalizzazione dell’intervento. L’esperienza di tirocinio svolta presso il Centro DNA di Fermo ha permesso di osservare sul campo l’efficacia di un approccio educativo integrato, attraverso la partecipazione al progetto Frame, in cui la valutazione finale ha mostrato miglioramenti significativi nella consapevolezza di sé, nell’espressione emotiva e nelle dinamiche relazionali. Dalla riflessione conclusiva emerge come l’educatore professionale, grazie al suo sguardo sistemico e alla sua funzione di mediazione, rappresenti una figura chiave nel connettere i diversi sistemi — clinico, familiare e sociale — favorendo l’integrazione, la continuità e il significato del percorso di cura.
