ANALISI E GESTIONE DEL LEAD TIME NEL PROCESSO DI APPROVVIGIONAMENTO

This thesis analyzes the role of lead time in the procurement process and its impact on supply chain performance, with specific reference to the large-scale retail sector. It examines the relationship between inventory management, demand variability, and replenishment lead times, highlighting their effects on service levels and operational costs. The study also considers the contribution of GS1 standards as tools supporting the integration of logistics and information flows, and finally proposes several potential improvement strategies for a more effective management of lead time.

La tesi analizza il ruolo del lead time nel processo di approvvigionamento e il suo impatto sulle prestazioni della supply chain, con riferimento alla Grande Distribuzione Organizzata. Viene approfondito il legame tra gestione delle scorte, variabilità della domanda e tempi di approvvigionamento, evidenziando gli effetti sui livelli di servizio e sui costi operativi. Il lavoro considera inoltre il contributo degli standard GS1 come strumenti a supporto dell'integrazione dei flussi logistici e informativi, proponendo infine alcune possibili linee di miglioramento per una gestione più efficace del lead time.
