This thesis falls within the field of professional voice care, with particular reference to sports professionals working in aquatic environments. Swimming pools represent a work setting characterized by specific environmental conditions, such as high humidity, background noise, and the need for intensive voice use, all of which may constitute risk factors for vocal health. The aim of this study is to develop an information and training project addressed to sports professionals working in swimming pools in the Marche Region, with the purpose of increasing awareness of vocal risks and promoting preventive strategies. To this end, an analysis of the scientific literature on professional voice and environmental risk factors was conducted, integrated with a review of current regulations concerning workplace safety, swimming pool facility characteristics, and chemical-environmental factors. Based on the evidence gathered, a targeted information and training intervention was designed. The project “The Voice in Water” provides practical tools and useful guidelines for voice management and protection in the workplace. The expected outcomes include increased vocal awareness and a reduction in the risk of vocal fatigue and voice disorders among sports professionals working in aquatic environments.
