This thesis examines how companies in the fashion sector are integrating sustainability principles into their production, design and marketing choices. Based on a review of academic literature and institutional and industry sources, the study is organised into three chapters. The first analyses the drivers pushing firms towards more sustainable models: the evolution of European regulation (the Green Deal, the EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles, the EU ETS), the growing role of consumers, and the pressure exerted by the financial system through ESG criteria. The second chapter explores environmental and social sustainability strategies, the phenomenon of greenwashing, and circular business models (recycling, reuse, second-hand, rental), highlighting their benefits and limitations. The third chapter focuses on the integration of sustainability into product design (ecodesign), manufacturing processes and communication, presenting the case study of Orange Fiber. The analysis shows that sustainability is no longer an accessory element or a matter of image, but a genuine strategic and competitive factor, capable of reshaping the development models of the fashion industry in the years to come.

THE INTEGRATION OF SUSTAINABILITY PRINCIPLES INTO THE PRODUCTION AND MARKETING STRATEGIES OF FASHION COMPANIES
