ASSISTENZA INFERMIERISTICA DURANTE L’UTILIZZO DELLA NIV NEL PAZIENTE AFFETTO DA INSUFFICIENZA RESPIRATORIA: UNA REVISIONE DELLA LETTERATURA

The arguments dealt with in this thesis mainly concern respiratory insufficiency, the use of non-invasive ventilation for the treatment of the same and above all that which must be the nursing care adequately carried out for the patient, with the aim of providing both physically that psychologically, a moral and practical support during the use of this therapy, in order to guarantee its effectiveness. The research method consists of the narrative review of materials such as bibliographic sources, periodical articles, conference proceedings and textbooks, written and published by established professionals in the sector. Subsequently, the reported results are effectively a collection and synthesis of information concerning the real practical and psychological assistance to be addressed to the patient, which would then allow a correct success of the therapy. Therefore, by analyzing these results, what may seem like small details of nursing care emerged, which can however make a difference in the patient's perception of the use of non-invasive ventilation.

Le argomentazioni trattate in questa tesi riguardano principalmente l’insufficienza respiratoria, l’utilizzo della ventilazione non invasiva per la cura della stessa e soprattutto quella che dovrà essere l’assistenza infermieristica adeguatamente svolta nei confronti del paziente, con l’obbiettivo di fornire sia fisicamente che psicologicamente, un supporto morale e pratico durante l’utilizzo di questa terapia, al fine di garantirne l’efficacia. Il metodo di ricerca è composto dalla revisione narrativa di materiali come fonti bibliografiche, articoli di periodici, atti di convegno e libri di testo, scritti e pubblicati da professionisti affermati del settore. Successivamente, i risultati riportati sono effettivamente una raccolta e una sintesi delle informazioni che riguardavano la vera e propria assistenza pratica e psicologica da rivolgere al paziente, che permetterebbe poi una corretta riuscita della terapia. Analizzando quindi questi risultati, sono emersi quelli che possono sembrare piccoli dettagli dell’assistenza infermieristica, che possono però fare la differenza nella percezione dell’utilizzo della ventilazione non invasiva da parte del paziente.
