Lo sviluppo economico da Rostow a Fuà: dalla teoria dei cinque stadi al modello NEC.

This work aims to examine the various studies that have occurred on the subject in question: the industrialization process. This process began in Great Britain and then extended throughout Europe; in this discussion it is my intention to explain how, over time, different approaches have been established by the authors examined, relating to the way in which industrialization should have taken place. It will be interesting to note how some of the theories discussed show substantial differences, although they follow the same general guideline, that is to identify the ways to achieve the results of English industrial development. Proceeding however, up to the last author treated, we abandon the direction represented by the English model and the concept of the imitation process, to move on to that of endogenous growth.

Il presente lavoro si propone di esaminare i diversi studi che si sono succeduti sull’argomento in oggetto: il processo d’industrializzazione. Tale processo ha avuto inizio in Gran Bretagna per poi estendersi in tutt’Europa; in questa trattazione è mio intento spigare come si siano affermati, nel tempo, differenti approcci da parte degli autori presi in esame, relativi al modo in cui l’industrializzazione sarebbe dovuta avvenire. Sarà interessante notare come alcune tra le teorie trattate mostrino delle differenze sostanziali, sebbene seguano una medesima direttrice generale, ossia individuare le modalità per conseguire i risultati dello sviluppo industriale inglese. Procedendo però, fino all’ultimo autore trattato, si abbandona la direttrice rappresentata dal modello inglese ed il concetto del processo di imitazione, per passare a quello di crescita endogena.
