This thesis is aimed at analyzing the economic impact of Generative Artificial Intelligence on the creative sector, passing through Osterwalder’s Business Model Canvas and its related tools, and observing how the covert or unethical use of automated tools by professionals and agencies is destroying the perceived value of creative products. The purpose is to examine the ways in which Generative Artificial Intelligence is used by companies operating in the creative industries, with particular attention to issues of transparency and perceived value. Through the analysis of the BuzzFeed case study, the paper demonstrates that deploying AI strictly as a cost-cutting measure floods the market with automated, low-quality content generates dangerous information asymmetry, effectively transforming the creative sector into a "Market for Lemons." The study concludes that sustainable AI integration requires adherence to regulatory frameworks like the EU AI Act, and a strategic shift toward value-based pricing, in order to ensure the preservation of consumer trust and the intrinsic value of human creativity.
