This thesis presents the development of a real-time measurement system for electrical quantities in AC operation, based on a Raspberry Pi and the MATLAB/Simulink environment. The system acquires voltage and current signals through a measurement chain composed of transducers, a USB audio interface and an embedded platform, allowing the estimation of quantities such as RMS values, frequency, phase displacement, power factor, active power, reactive power, apparent power and total harmonic distortion. A significant part of the work was devoted to the hardware and software configuration of the system, the calibration of the voltage and current measurement branches, and the compensation of the phase shift introduced by the acquisition chain. The acquired signals were also stored and processed offline using MATLAB scripts, in order to verify the system behaviour and extract additional quantities of interest. The system was experimentally validated first using a mainly resistive load and then in a real application scenario through measurements carried out in a server room. The obtained results show that the system is able to provide consistent measurements of the main electrical quantities and to highlight the harmonic content of the acquired signals.
