Hospitalization can be a devastating experience for some children and for theirs parents. The impact on operators who carry out the procedures and who sometimes have to contain the opposing child, it is a condition of severe stress that requires a adequate preparation for assistance. Children's distress and coping strategies are influenced by the caregiver and therefore it is important to adopt the systems that most help the children to feel in a protected environment, making the hospital procedure more as serene as possible. Objective of the study: to analyse the usefulness of a figure within the team who Modulate the relationship with the patient, according to the needs and characteristics required of the individual person in need of psycho-physical support and whether within the working environment for nursing staff leads to benefits and what kind of benefits. Sample of the study: The samples taken in reference are three, the medical staff and nursing, the volunteers participating in the project and the families whose children have been hospitalized in the Pediatric and Congenital Cardiac Surgery Department of Torrette. Materials and methods: Data collection was carried out through the administration of three different questionnaires to the three types of sample, with questions targeted to the individual role they play in the project. Results: The most frequently reported experiences from the 3 samples in question are positive, the presence of a professional relationship technician plays a role in the relationship important and useful both for young patients and helping them to be less afraid of the hospital environment and positively changing the perception of the staff who work in it assists, it is also useful for medical and nursing staff because it dimension the activities to the understanding of the paediatric patient, facilitating in some ways their work. Conclusions: A combination of protective factors and targeted coping strategies are useful to improve paediatric patient care. A methodology similar to that proposal can be valid for any type of patient with frailty and which requires assistance not only to maintain adequate physical support but also to that needs to be accompanied also psychologically during the journey. The study addressed makes it possible to strongly recommend the use of the method analysed and to encourage its diffusion in the most varied contexts.
L’ospedalizzazione può essere una esperienza devastante per alcuni bambini e per i loro genitori. L’impatto sugli operatori che eseguono le procedure e che a volte devono contenere il bambino che si oppone, è una condizione di grave stress che richiede un adeguata preparazione all’assistenza. L’angoscia e le strategie di coping dei bambini vengono influenzate da chi assiste ed è quindi importante adottare i sistemi che più aiutano i bambini a sentirsi in un ambiente protetto, rendendo l’iter ospedaliero più sereno possibile. Obiettivo dello studio: analizzare l’utilità di una figura all’interno dell’equipe che moduli il rapporto con il paziente, in base ai bisogni richiesti e alle caratteristiche della singola persona che necessita di un supporto psico-fisico e se all’interno del contesto lavorativo per il personale infermieristico porta a dei benefici e di che tipo. Campione dello studio: I campioni presi in riferimento sono tre, il personale medico e infermieristico, i volontari che partecipano al progetto e le famiglie i cui figli sono stati ricoverato nel reparto di Cardiochirurgia Pediatrica e Congenita di Torrette. Materiali e metodi: La raccolta dei dati è stata fatta tramite la somministrazione di tre questionari differenti alle tre tipologie di campione, con domande mirate al singolo ruolo che essi svolgono nel progetto. Risultati: Le esperienze più frequentemente riportate dai tre campioni in questione sono state positive, la presenza di un tecnico professionista della relazione svolge un ruolo importante ed è utile sia per i piccoli pazienti aiutandoli ad avere meno paura dell’ambiente ospedaliero e modificando in positivo la percezione del personale che lo assiste, è utile anche al personale medico e infermieristico perché dimensiona le attività alla comprensione del paziente pediatrico, facilitando in certi versi il loro lavoro. Conclusioni: Una combinazione di fattori protettivi e di strategie di coping mirati sono utili per migliorare l’assistenza al paziente pediatrico. Una metodologia similare a quella proposta può essere valido per qualsiasi tipologia di paziente con delle fragilità e che richiede un’assistenza non solo per conservare un adeguato sostenimento fisico ma che necessita di essere accompagnato anche psicologicamente durante il percorso. Lo studio affrontato permette di raccomandare fortemente l’utilizzo del metodo analizzato e di incentivare la sua diffusione nei più svariati contesti.
