Food Security ai tempi del Covid-19. Come una crisi pandemica sta influenzando il mercato alimentare.

The purpose of this study is to explain why, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, reaching the level of Zero Hunger, estimated by the UN for 2030, will be not possible in the near future. The first chapter will be focused on the description of the way how the pandemic has influenced the food market and also on the importance of having a good level of resilience to keep the Food Supply Chain always responsive and functioning. Then, will be described the impacts that COVID-19 has had on the food supply chain and on food safety, first, through describing a generic scenario, and then focusing on various macro-regions such as: USA and Canada; Africa; Latin America and the Caribbean; Europe and the United Kingdom; Asia, Pacific and the Middle East. Finally, various strategies will be proposed to each actor in the food supply chain in order to achieve the common goal of Zero Hunger in a not immediate future.

Lo scopo dell'elaborato è quello di spiegare il motivo per cui, a causa della pandemia di Covid-19, il raggiungimento del livello di Fame Zero, stimato dall'ONU per il 2030, sarà irraggiungibile in un prossimo futuro. Nel primo capitolo si andrà a descrivere come la pandemia ha influenzato il mercato alimentare ed inoltre ci si focalizzerà sulla necessità di avere un buon livello di resilienza per mantenere la Food Supply Chain sempre reattiva e funzionante. Successivamente si andranno a descrivere gli impatti che il COVID-19 ha avuto sulla catena di approvvigionamento alimentare e sulla sicurezza alimentare, descrivendo inizialmente uno scenario generico e successivamente concentrandosi su varie macroregioni quali: USA e Canada; Africa; America Latina e Caraibi; Europa e Regno Unito; Asia, Pacifico e Medio Oriente. Infine, verranno proposte, ad ogni attore della food supply chain, diverse strategie utili al raggiungimento, in un futuro non immediato, dell'obiettivo della Fame Zero.
