Abstract
Among the numerous fields of application of digital technologies and virtual reconstructions, particularly interesting is the one related to the strengthening of museum communication. The narrative approach, which is really able to arouse the interest of the public, is combined with digital technologies, which are an effective element of support in communication. The main purpose of this experimentation is to tell a story to the users in order to make the museum experience fun and, at the same time, educational; being, the educational activity, considered as an integral part of the role played by the museum. It is there fore necessary to create spaces with in the museum to encourage, with debates, comparisons, experimentation and digitalization, a stimulating encounter. Specifically, we examined a part of the Studiolo of Duke Federico of Montefeltro (1422-1482), undoubtedly the most suggestive place of the entire Ducal Palace in Urbino. In the splendid perspective inlays of the Studiolo you can, in fact, the oldest scientific instruments that the history of Urbino has ever recorded. Two narrations have been proposed: one for adults and one for children. These two narrations have a common structure, contents and protagonists, but they develop in a different way as far as narration modalities are concerned. Engine of the of the story are the "points of interest", the images represented in the wooden inlays, which through animation become the spokesman of a piece ofstory and accompany the story.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
