RICERCA STORICO-ARCHITETTONICA SUI TEATRI ALL'ITALIANA DELLA REGIONE MARCHE

The work of this thesis was carried out with a view to creating a first archive of Italian-style theaters, then built between the 18th and 19th centuries, present in the Marche region both now and in the past. As already explained in the introduction for completeness, theaters have also been included which during the recovery have lost the typical characteristics of the time and some subsequent theaters. This research shows that most of the "Italian" theaters in the Marche region have been restored maintaining the style and characteristics typical of the time such as: the horseshoe-shaped room, which allowed better visibility of the show; the elimination of the replaced tiers of the construction of separate stages divided in height by orders; a greater depth of the scene to allow the use of the perspective scenes and the possibility for the actors to act inside and not in front of the scene, as was customary in Renaissance theater. Other theaters have been completely modernized using more current techniques, of these a famous example is the theater of the Muses of Ancona which hosts an opera season of national resonance. Unfortunately still others have not been recovered and are currently abandoned and in disuse, if not demolished. The sources of the research are mainly the texts of the university library, being a bit dated, the help of some websites was also used to check the current state of the theater; in fact, the history and characteristics of the theaters can also be used online on the official sites, municipalities or theaters, which sometimes have also used the same texts as sources to present their theaters. Unfortunately, the quantity of material found for each theater is not always proportional to its importance or size. With this work it is hoped that someone will want to analyze the acoustics of the theaters shown here to study their operation from a technical point of view, possibly compared to those made with more modern techniques.

Il lavoro di questa tesi è stato svolto nell'ottica di creare un primo archivio dei teatri all'italiana, quindi edificati tra il XVIII e XIX secolo, presenti nel territorio marchigiano attualmente e in passato. Come già spiegato nell'introduzione per completezza sono stati inseriti anche teatri che durante il recupero hanno perduto le caratteristiche tipiche dell’epoca e qualche teatro successivo. Da questa ricerca si evince che la maggior parte dei teatri “all'italiana”, nel territorio marchigiano, sono stati restaurati mantenendo lo stile e le caratteristiche tipiche dell’epoca quali: la sala a forma di ferro di cavallo, che permetteva una migliore visibilità dello spettacolo; l'eliminazione delle gradinate sostituite della costruzione di palchi separati e divisi in altezza per ordini; una maggiore profondità della scena per permettere l'utilizzo delle quinte prospettiche e la possibilità, per gli attori, di recitare dentro e non davanti alla scena, come invece era consuetudine nel teatro rinascimentale. Altri teatri sono stati rimodernati completamente utilizzando tecniche più attuali, di questi un famoso esempio è il teatro delle Muse di Ancona che ospita una stagione operistica di risonanza nazionale. Purtroppo altri ancora non sono stati recuperati e sono attualmente abbandonati e in disuso, se non addirittura demoliti. Le fonti della ricerca sono principalmente i testi della biblioteca universitaria, essendo un po’ datati è stato impiegato anche l’aiuto di alcuni siti internet per verificare l’attuale stato del teatro; infatti la storia e le caratteristiche dei teatri sono fruibili anche online nei siti ufficiali, dei comuni o dei teatri, che talvolta hanno anche utilizzato gli stessi testi come fonti per presentare i loro teatri. Sfortunatamente la quantità di materiale reperito per ogni teatro non è sempre proporzionale alla sua importanza o alla sua grandezza. Con questo lavoro ci si auspica che qualcuno voglia analizzare l’acustica dei teatri qui riportati per studiarne il funzionamento dal punto di vista tecnico, eventualmente paragonato a quelli realizzati con tecniche più moderne.
