The acquisition and analysis of human movement are now used in various fields, from graphic applications and animations to sports and clinical-rehabilitation applications. In particular, for biomechanical and clinical applications, the currently most common methods involve a controlled laboratory environment and the use of markers applied to the patient’s skin. In recent years, attention has turned to non-invasive systems based on the acquisition of synchronized video sequences obtained with common cameras. In this paper we will specifically analyze the movements of people engaged in sporting activities both in the competitive and amateur fields.

Abstract
The acquisition and analysis of human movement are now used in various fields, from graphic applications and animations to sports and clinical-rehabilitation applications. In particular, for biomechanical and clinical applications, the currently most common methods involve a controlled laboratory environment and the use of markers applied to the patient’s skin. In recent years, attention has turned to non-invasive systems based on the acquisition of synchronized video sequences obtained with common cameras. In this paper we will specifically analyze the movements of people engaged in sporting activities both in the competitive and amateur fields.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
