Malthus oltre Malthus. Dinamiche demografiche odierne e sostenibilità ambientale.

Leaving aside the limits widely discussed in the literature, Malthus’s vision 200 years after its publication is the perfect starting point for an analysis on the consequences of the population growth expected in the XXI century on our planet. His gloomy predictions are coming true not for the reason Malthus expected but for the impossibility for planet Earth to sustain the economic growth necessary to satisfy the needs of billions of people, the lack of natural resources, the environmental unsustainability of the productive processes and the massive migratory movements.
