In the historical context, healthcare has been able to offer each individual, without any discrimination, a path of treatment appropriate to their problems, conditions, needs, through the use of scientific evidence. Reference is made to various standards which have contributed to the establishment of various activities (such as prevention, treatment, palliative care), always placing the improvement of the quality of life and survival of the assisted person as the primary purpose. In promoting the health of the citizen, especially if it is aimed at all those people suffering from oncological problems, it is possible to provide support within the therapeutic plan, even a therapy that differs from the official medicine: music therapy. Generally when we talk about music we refer to it as "the pleasure of wanting to listen to it" but in reality this brings about another notable importance, as several people have wanted to include it as therapy. In that, the benefits reported on the health context are different, such as the opening of communication channels through the use of sound, the establishment of positive emotions or even the correlation between sound and cells. The use of this therapy is possible to undertake in the health facilities that welcome people with palliative care, since the disease that persists in them, can lead to taking an unsuitable attitude towards the care that they are following. As conventional medicine focuses more on the primary problem, that is, on the resolution of the pathology or if this is not possible in minimizing it, but it does not focus on any secondary problems of the assisted person. In this context, music therapy takes a position, in that it pours its importance in helping, supporting and complementing conventional medicine. For these reasons, it is appropriate to distribute the scientific importance and to make a comparison between conventional and unconventional medicine, since music therapy belongs to the latter, in the perspective of complementary therapy. This "new activity" has always been present but little exploited as it has not yet been understood in all its aspects, its potential. However, it should be stressed that even if its particular importance lies in the health field, this therapy can never take the place of conventional medicine, but it can complement it, as official medicine will always remain the primary therapy to be submitted to the person.

Abstract
However, it should be stressed that even if its particular importance lies in the health field, this therapy can never take the place of conventional medicine, but it can complement it, as official medicine will always remain the primary therapy to be submitted to the person.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
