GLI INVESTIMENTI DIRETTI ESTERI : LE CAUSE E LE CONSEGUENZE DELLE POLITICHE DI ATTRAZIONE CON ANALISI DEL CASO ITALIANO

The first chapter provides a general framework on FDI, describes the nature and different structural types of the phenomenon, and then analyzes the consequences of such investments in the countries of origin and in the recipient countries of these flows. In the second chapter we analyze what are the investment promotions (IPA, Investment Promotion Agency), that is the economic-fiscal policies with which the agencies and state governments encourage foreign operators to invest in their local activities. We will examine how the target sectors are chosen to attract FDI, ie strategic sectors that potentially enjoy the ability to create a competitive advantage over other sectors with lower profit margins. In the third chapter, after a summary introduction, the Italian and global context regarding FDI is analyzed, starting from the years prior to the pandemic up to the year 2021.

Nel primo capitolo viene fornito un quadro generale sugli IDE, si descrive la natura e le diverse tipologie strutturali del fenomeno, per poi analizzare quelle che sono le conseguenze di tali investimenti nei paesi d’origine e nei paesi destinatari di tali flussi. Nel capitolo secondo si analizzano quelle che sono le promozioni agli investimenti (IPA, Investment Promotion Agency), ossia le politiche economico-fiscali con cui le agenzie ed i governi statali incentivano gli operatori esteri ad investire nelle proprie attività locali. Si esaminerà come vengono scelti i settori target per attrarre IDE, ossia dei settori strategici che in potenza godono della capacità di creare un vantaggio competitivo rispetto ad altri settori con più bassi margini di profitto. Nel terzo capitolo, dopo una introduzione riassuntiva, si analizza quello che è il contesto italiano e globale in merito agli IDE, partendo dagli anni antecedenti alla pandemia fino all’anno 2021.
