The purpose of this study was to compare the environmental impacts of different types of paint. In order to carry out this evaluation, two different types of paint products were considered: one water-based and the other solvent-base, both used for coloring interior furnishings. To carry out this analysis, we utilized the Life Cycle Assessment methodology, which enabled the evaluation of the impacts produced by each of them, allowing the producing company to determine which of the two paints was less harmful to the environment. The purpose of this comparison is to provide guidance to the company, particularly the management, on more sustainable choices for the future. This comparison is based on contrasting the impacts of raw materials, production process and packaging, in order to identify the best practices for sustainability.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to compare the environmental impacts of different types of paint. In order to carry out this evaluation, two different types of paint products were considered: one water-based and the other solvent-base, both used for coloring interior furnishings. To carry out this analysis, we utilized the Life Cycle Assessment methodology, which enabled the evaluation of the impacts produced by each of them, allowing the producing company to determine which of the two paints was less harmful to the environment. The purpose of this comparison is to provide guidance to the company, particularly the management, on more sustainable choices for the future. This comparison is based on contrasting the impacts of raw materials, production process and packaging, in order to identify the best practices for sustainability.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
