Today's patients have complex chronic health problems and require synergistic interventions between professionals with different skills. Interprofessional education is the key to ensuring that students, the health professionals of tomorrow, have the ability to work together to meet population’s needs. An observational study was carried out within the "Skill Lab" of the “Università Politecnica delle Marche”, on the occasion of the educational simulation laboratories concerning 5th and 6th years students of the Master's Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery of the UNIVPM for the "basic emergency" and "advanced emergency" skills, with the aim of evaluating the effectiveness of simulation in interprofessional education through the two-stage assessment of the predisposition of students of the fifth and sixth year to interprofessional learning with the RIPLS questionnaire, through both the evaluation of the need for training regarding the handover processes, with an ad hoc questionnaire, and the evaluation of the improvement of the technical theoretical knowledge with a knowledge test, of the 5th year students. Finally, the researcher carried out a correlation between the predisposition to interprofessional learning of the 5th and 6th year students and the related variables to technical and non-technical performances in the various fields explored through simulation scenarios both in patient assessment and in handover dynamics. The results show a very good predisposition of students to interprofessional learning at t0 which increased at t1, students agree to include handover education in their educational paths and there has been an improvement in this regard to theoretical knowledge after the teaching activities by 10%. According to the researcher's analysis, most of the mistakes made during the simulation were made by groups that didn’t ask for help and collaboration from the nurse, who was available in each scenario. In conclusion, interprofessional education through simulation was effective as an educational method.
