The objective of this thesis is to analyze the importance that the management of price strategies has for companies. Price is one of the most relevant variables but despite this many companies still do not manage it or do it in a wrong way. My work experience in this area has led me to make a thesis that could analyze in depth how pricing works, what factors influence it and why it is important for companies. The work is divided into four chapters in which will first be discussed specifically the internal and external variables that affect pricing, focusing mainly on the external variable of competition as it will be further examined in practice through the explanation of the business case. Next, the focus will be on pricing policies, will analyze the main policies and how they are managed within companies, what is the theoretical procedure to implement them and what are the strengths and weaknesses of pricing. Finally, the company case will be presented through a context chapter concerning an overview of pricing within the Large Distribution Organization, dealing with the various factors that affect its implementation and what are the main strategies that are used in this area. Subsequently, it will be analyzed a practical example of implementation of a pricing strategy through the company Magazzini Gabrielli Spa that has implemented a particular strategy in its format Oasis, Its operation will be analysed and what objectives it has achieved. In conclusion, it will be presented a project realized by the company in order to deal with the evolution that has had the pricing in corporate strategies.
L’obiettivo di questa tesi è quello di analizzare l’importanza che la gestione delle strategie di prezzo ha per le aziende. Il prezzo è una delle variabili più rilevanti ma nonostante questo ancora molte aziende non lo gestiscono o comunque lo fanno in una maniera errata. La mia esperienza lavorativa in questo ambito mi ha spinto a realizzare una tesi che potesse analizzare in modo approfondito come funziona il pricing, da quali fattori viene influenzato e perché è importante per le aziende. Il lavoro è articolato in quattro capitoli in cui verranno prima discusse nello specifico le variabili interne ed esterne che influenzano il pricing, concentrandosi principalmente sulla variabile esterna della concorrenza poiché essa verrà ulteriormente esaminata nella pratica tramite la spiegazione del caso aziendale. Successivamente, il focus sarà sulle politiche di prezzo, verranno analizzate le principali politiche e come esse vengono gestite all’interno delle aziende, qual è il procedimento teorico per poterle attuare e quali sono i punti di forza e di debolezza del pricing. Infine verrà presentato il caso aziendale tramite un capitolo di contesto riguardante una panoramica sul pricing all’interno della Grande Distribuzione Organizzata, trattando i vari fattori che ne condizionano l’implementazione e quali sono le principali strategie che vengono utilizzate in questo settore. Successivamente, verrà analizzato un esempio pratico di attuazione di una strategia di pricing tramite l’azienda Magazzini Gabrielli Spa che ha messo in atto una particolare strategia nel suo format Oasi, ne verrà analizzato il funzionamento e quali obiettivi ha permesso di raggiungere. In conclusione, verrà presentato un progetto realizzato dall’azienda per poter trattare dell’evoluzione che ha avuto il pricing nelle strategie aziendali.
