Root Cause Analysis in FPT Industrial Spa: analisi su veicoli connessi con telematica CNH

This paper has reflected on Root Cause Analysis and the important role it can play in a company such as FPT Industrial Spa. RCA is a systematic process capable of identifying the root causes that led to the occurrence of a certain adverse event or, as in the case we will consider, a fault. In the thesis, this was done, first, through an algorithm that combined Random Forest and Stochastic Hill Climbing together and, later, using Decision Trees.

In questo lavoro si è riflettuto sulla Root Cause Analysis e sull’importante ruolo che essa può rivestire all'interno di un'azienda come FPT Industrial Spa. La RCA è un processo sistematico capace di individuare le cause profonde che hanno portato al verificarsi di un certo evento avverso o, come nel caso che considereremo, di un guasto. Nella tesi questo è stato fatto, prima, tramite un algoritmo che combinasse insieme Random Forest e Stochastic Hill Climbing e, successivamente, usando gli Alberi Decisionali.
