This thesis analyzes the protection of human rights within Italian luxury fashion supply chains. Through an examination of existing social reporting frameworks and the structural specificities of the luxury sector, the study highlights the discrepancies between corporate disclosures and the critical findings that emerged, beginning in 2024, from official labor inspections into suppliers and subcontractors linked to three prominent luxury brands (Armani, Loro Piana and Tod’s). Finally, the paper outlines potential solutions to mitigate the sector’s structural contradictions, arguing for a transition beyond conventional social audit systems toward a multi-stakeholder governance model based on collaborative supply chain management.
