This thesis aims to analyze the context of Italian SMEs regarding sustainability and financing. The objective is to understand the extent to which these enterprises are willing to adapt to a changing external environment by integrating sustainability criteria into their strategies and restructuring their financial budgets. To support the theoretical analysis, the strategy of a small agricultural business in the Marche region is examined, comparing its available potential with the choices actually implemented in 2014. The study reveals that while SMEs are open to this transition, they remain largely unaware of the incentives available to them. Understanding this could facilitate more strategic investment planning to support such a shift, yielding positive outcomes for brand identity and positioning.
