Abstract

Social networks are "aggregators" of news obtained from different sources and, since they are expanding rapidly, they are increasingly used as sources of information. In particular, the reader ends up focusing more on the story than on the source and this often causes a distorted view of reality. It is therefore appropriate to guide the population most involved in this system of false beliefs in order to prevent their spread. Since the food sector is not exempt from all of this, the task of the dietitian is also that of accompanying people on a path of basic nutrition education, as illustrated in this three-year thesis, teaching them to recognize "fake news" and to verify all of the information to which they are subjected.

Nutritional Fake News and the role of the Dietician in the prevention of food choices
